No Seed Phrases

Login with Google, Apple, biometrics, or other simple methods.  There are no seed phrases that need to be stored.  One login can be used to manage as many wallets as you need on a multitude of blockchains.

Quantum Resistant Security

Post-Quantum Cryptography

Access your wallet using secure authentication and then sign transactions using advanced cryptography.  Quantum computers are anticipated to be able to crack the current signing methods used in blockchain in 5 - 10 years.  Why wait for newer cryptographic methods to be introduced by the development communities when you can do so now?

Easy Recovery

Define Trusted Recovery Groups

Choose how to recover your wallet from multiple options

  • Define groups with friends and family and decide how many members of the group are required to unlock the wallet
  • Use a traditional hardware wallet
  • Use a Custodial service provider

100% Non-Custodial - You control your assets, always.

Discover the Magic of Cointrol

Why the Private Key Is the Weak Link in Crypto Security

If you’ve ever set up a crypto wallet, you’ve probably been told to “write down your seed phrase and never lose it.” That single sentence has cost countless users their savings. Private keys—and the seed phrases that create them—are one of the biggest points of failure in blockchain security. They can be lost, stolen, or forgotten. At Cointrol, we believe self-custody shouldn’t depend on your ability to memorize or guard 12 random words. That’s why we built a wallet that eliminates private keys altogether—without giving up control.

Who Cointrol is for

Crypto Newcomers

No need to understand how to create a transaction, the application will simplify the experience so you can just send tokens to friends, families, or anyone else without the hassle of using a smart contract.  Also, there is no need to hold native tokens like ether to pay gas, we pay all gas fees and you pay for a subscription.  You won't even need crypto to get started, we will accept traditional money as well as major stablecoins.

Active DeFi Users

Never again will you have to keep a record of the recovery phrases.  Simplified interfaces for using DeFi protocols like Uniswap, AAVE, PancakeSwap, SushiSwap, etc.  Access to audit reports on any smart contract.  Pay for the services with our utility token for a discount on subscription fees.

Enterprises and Institutions

Host the application in your own infrastructure using single sign on authentication.  Set up multiple wallets to manage your portfolios and assign approvals to your employees.

Product Roadmap

  • Beta testing with a free wallet on Sepolia now available at https://wallet.cointrol.co
  • Product go-live later this year

Frequently Asked Questions

Cointrol is non-custodial but doesn’t rely on a private key you must store or remember. Instead, it uses secure authentication and post-quantum cryptographic signatures, so you can log in just like you do with everyday apps—without compromising on blockchain security.

You can pre-define a “Recovery Group”—trusted friends, family, or colleagues who can collectively approve your recovery request. This means no single point of failure and no permanent lockouts.

Alternatively, you can use an external wallet as a recovery option whether the external wallet is a Custodial service, a hardware wallet like Ledger, or a software wallet like MetaMask.

No.  We never hold your assets or keys.  Your wallet is controlled by you at all times with transactions signed securely on your device.

Anyone who wants the security of a self-custody wallet without the complexity of managing seed phrases. Whether you’re a crypto newcomer, an active DeFi user, or an enterprise managing digital assets, Cointrol makes secure access simple.

None currently, but only because quantum computers are still in their early days.  Estimates vary that they could be powerful enough in 5 to 15 years to be able to break current cryptographic algorithms.  Once they are sufficiently powerful, attackers would be able to derive a private key and steal tokens.

No, there will also be options to use the current cryptography supported by Ethereum as a cheaper alternative. Packages will be available with various combinations of wallet-types.  The classic wallets may be better suited for high frequency activity while quantum resistant accounts might be used for holding assets.

The first release of the wallet will be for Ethereum and additional chains will be added based on demand and other considerations.  The wallet is only for EVM-based chains such as Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Polygon.

Unfortunately, Bitcoin is not an EVM-based chain and not supported with this wallet.  Users can hold equivalent coins that represent bitcoin ownership; these are commonly referred to as wrapped tokens.  Cointrol will look into other alternatives in the future.
